The pattern of cattle and poultry sales for slaughter by commercial farms is as follows: share of poultry was 54% (53% in 2006), cattle – 22% (26%), and pigs – 23% (21%).
Raising of cattle and poultry in commercial farms in 2007 exceeded the same index of 2006 by 14%, including increase in pig raising by 16%, poultry breeding by 24%, while cattle breeding reduced by 10%. At the same time, ratio of cattle and poultry breeding to sales of cattle for slaughter in commercial farms amounted to 99% (106% in 2006).
Production of milk by 8% reduced in 2007 because of reduction of cattle herd. In particular, production of milk diminished by 11% in commercial farms along with insignificant growth of animal productivity. Average milk yield from one cow in commercial farms constituted 3,293 kg (except for small farms) and grew by 2.0% versus results of 2006. It amounted to 3,995 kg in individual farms and diminished by 1.3%.

As of beginning of January 2008, individuals owned 66.1% of cattle gross herd (62.8% as of January 1, 2007), including 78.4% of cows (77.2%), 60.4% of pigs (59.6%), 82.4% of sheep and goats (82.5%), and 52.8% of all kinds of poultry (56.6%).
Commercial farms decreased sales of poultry and pig youngsters to individuals in 2007 against the figures of 2006 by correspondingly 14.8% and 13.7%. On the contrary, sales of cattle youngsters were augmented by 2.6%.
As of January 1, 2008, commercial farms dealing with cattle breeding (except for small ones) had 2.9 mn tons fodder units of different fodders that was by 21% less than a year ago including 1.2 mn tons fodder units of concentrated food (by 10.0% less). There were approximately 7.4 centner fodder units of different fodders per one conditional cow, including 3.0 centner fodder units of concentrated food (respectively 8.9 centers and 3.1 centner fodder units as of January 1, 2007).
